In his first press conference after taking over as Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat outlined his govt's priorities saying his govt will frame a policy to stop migration from the hills and revive industries shut down in the recent past.

He also said that decisions taken by previous government would be reviewed and reversed, if need be. The newly appointed Chief Minister also assured effective steps to pull the state out of a heavy debt burden of 45,000 crore rupees.

The new Uttarakhand government has taken over, promising to fulfill promises made during the election campaign. Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat chaired first cabinet meeting of his new government in the secretariat on Monday.

After the meeting, the new CM said that transparency and honesty will be the priority of his government. He also expressed his commitment to take stringent action against crime and corruption in the state.

Following the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Uttarakhand ministers were seen in action for Swachhta Mission. Many of the ministers started the day with a cleanliness drive with broom in their hands.

Chief Minister Rawat and his cabinet ministers are also working up for the Namai Gange programme. Trivendra Rawat with many of his cabinet ministers were seen campaigning for clean Ganga drive in various part of the state.

Rawat also counted, stopping migration as one of the top priority of his government. He said that government will take measures to create employment opportunities locally to stop migration.

The Uttarakhand government has also expressed commitment towards effective implementation of the law on Gauvansh Sanrakshan. The government has promised to support industries in the state and provide adequate seed, fertilizer and electricity for the welfare of the farming community.

CM Rawat has said that the aim of his government is to follow the idea of inclusive development and take the benefit of good governance to the remotest part of the state.
