SC slams BCCI for resisting reforms

The Supreme Court on Friday slammed BCCI over its refusal to adopt the set of reforms recommended by the Justice Lodha Committee.

Hearing BCCI lawyers on the issue of implementation of the committee's recommendations, the Supreme Court said that the board was refusing to adopt reforms, while discharging a public function.

The Indian cricket board remained opposed to the Lodha panel reforms, arguing that it was an autonomous body and was accountable to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies.

The next hearing of the case is scheduled to be held on Monday, 11th April.
